Meet Curt Gingrich, MD
President, Mansfield Hospital and Shelby Hospital
Curt Gingrich, MD, is a board certified family physician and currently serves as president of OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital and OhioHealth Shelby Hospital, as well as two free-standing emergency departments in Ashland and Ontario. He leads a dynamic team with responsibility for strategic execution and operational accountability to successfully meet the needs of the communities in the north central Ohio region.
Prior to his current role, Curt served as president of OhioHealth Marion General Hospital and led key initiatives focused on master facilities planning, the establishment of the Marion Cancer Center and deepening physician alignment, including the creation of an imaging center joint venture.
Curt has also served as vice president of regional medical affairs where he focused on medical staff development, patient safety and quality, peer review and utilization management for five OhioHealth regional hospitals. Additionally, he has served as an executive leader at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center with accountability for accreditation and serving as the Designation Institutional Official for 11 graduate medical education training programs.
Dr. Gingrich completed his medical school training at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and his residency in Family Medicine at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, prior to establishing a practice in rural Indiana for six years. He returned to Riverside as associate program director where he received the Teacher of the Year award four times and also served as chair of the Department of Family Medicine from 2004 to 2008.
He is married to his high school sweetheart, Deanna, and they have two adult children.
