Meet Michael Browning
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mike Browning is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at OhioHealth. In this role, he is responsible for managing the financial decisions across OhioHealth’s growing health system and will leverage his experience in a value-based world to help the organization navigate the next generation of payment models and reimbursement.
Mike brings nearly 30 years of healthcare finance experience. He previously served as the System Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at ProMedica Health System in Toledo, Ohio.
Mike also served in various roles earlier in his career. At WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, North Carolina and Parkview Health, Fort Wayne, Indiana, he served as an Executive Vice President – Chief Financial Officer working in Budgeting, Revenue Cycle, Managed Care and Treasury. He was also assigned oversight for Reimbursement, Occupational Health and Real Estate. He has worked at the facility, regional and corporate level and has experience in for-profit, not-for-profit, small, rural facilities and large, complex tertiary hospitals.
He has a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisville and a bachelor’s degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
